Dini & Koa's Floor Playtime

Tonight while waiting for Daddy to come home, Mommy gave Kekoa some tummy time- which luckily he doesn't mind. Afterwards, his reward is to lie on his back, chill and check out his fish friends who so happily hang above his mat. Dini, the ever protective wonder dog that she is, decided to join in the mat time play.

Watch out Koa- there's a giant dog behind you!!

This kid looks like he could use some Dini lovin'.

If either set of grandparents see these next few pictures, I think that they would die!! But its ok, because Koa loves her!!

Dini's Turn

Photobucket
Poor Dini.

She has been such a good girl since Kekoa has been born. Either she's being tethered when guests come over to visit the baby (like in this picture)or being told to get away from the baby or to get off the couch so she can't come near the baby (not by Martin or I, but by guests who happen to be holding the baby).

Despite that, Dini has been THE BEST big doggie sister ever. She's super protective over him, alerts us when he gets cranky, whines or starts to stir- and she even works poopie patrol and tells us he needs a diaper change even before we can discover it. Plus too, she's ALWAYS super gentle with him, gives him his space, and loves to lick the top of his head and bottoms of his toes and give her infamous, never-ending Dini kisses.

If they could give awards for the best dog ever, Dini would win hands down!!!!

Koa's Hearing Test

Photobucket

I know that Koa will probably hate me when he's older for ever posting this photo, but I can't help it. Even with the "baby headphones" on, he's still cute!!

Today we had his follow up hearing test because when he was born they found all kinds of fluid in his ears and unfortunately his left ear did not pass.

He's a little trickster though. Today, his left was passing just fine, but they were finding that the right (which was initially fine at birth) wasn't passing. Needless to say they were thinking that maybe the fluid was moving through to the other side. So, they tried instead for me to hold him and see how he would do, and sure enough- HE PASSED!!!! All he needed was for Mommy to hold him and he passed with flying colors. Yay Kekoa!!!!

Kekoa's First Sponge Bath 3/1/2009

Poor Kekoa. He HATED his first sponge bath. First off, Mommy & Ninang Lynn woke him up from a wonderful nap he was having to get him all clean. That in itself already put him in a bad mood. Despite the unhappy experience for him, we're glad that he beared it and was a good sport about it- because in the end, he's clean and that's what is most important!!

Kekoa- minutes before his bath, blissfully unaware. :)

Not happy. Not happy at all!!!!

All clean and done- and still not happy. :(

Sorry, Baby Koa. Hopefully your next bath time experience will be a better one!!!
