I know I need to get out of the habit of calling Malia 'Chubbbs'- but I can't help it... she's getting so round, its killing me how cute she is!
Tonight while Brother had HSM2 on (again!) and Daddy was putting together the ceiling fan for the guest room, my little girl decided to have a little girl talk one on one with her Mommy.
Here's what she had to say (its all at the beginning of this clip, so don't miss it!!)
We had a really laid back Father's Day for Martin.
All he wanted to do was spend some outdoor time at the park with Kekoa (Malia, still too small, will have to wait till next Father's Day!) which we got to do at Brand Park, in Glendale; since we were up staying with Mom in Burbank for the weekend.
Koa had a blast and Martin got to spend some quality time with his kids. Could it honestly get any better than this?

Swing Time! (unfortunately, I had no stroller or carrier for Malia, so I had to do my best to keep her out of the sun- which is why these shots are from the back!)
And Koa LOVED the slide... but only if Daddy was going down with him. He tried it a few times on his own with Daddy literally jumping off of the top in order to catch Kekoa at the bottom... but still, it was not as fun as when Daddy would hold him in his arms. :)

Really, this belongs on my sister's blog (www.moncriefgirls.blogspot.com) but I am SOOOOOO, SOOOOOOO proud of my niece and goddaughter Bella, that I'll just post it here too!!
Bella performed her very first hoike show with her halau, Hula Halau O' Kamuela Elua at the Pasadena Convention Center. She chanted and danced E Liliu E, which is literally, the ritualistic, "break the kids into hula" dance for almost every child. I am so proud of how well she did... she earned her front, center stage position!! Maika'i Bella-girl, Maika'i... Ninang is so proud of you! Me Ke Aloha Pumehana!

Ever since he got over his first bath experience, Koa has been such a little water bug. He LOVES the water. So much in fact that to this day, he sometimes (more often than not) throws a fit whenever we pull him out of the tub. He's been in the pool, he's been to the beach, he plays in the sink... you name it. He just plain loves water. We're so convinced that Kekoa will be a surfer or something and live up to his Hawaiian name!
But today, for his first formal lesson, he had a fit! He HATED the water. He cried and complained the entire time! He was the ONLY kid that you could hear crying. We don't know if its because Mommy was sitting by the side of the pool and it threw him off, but either way, he just did not want to be there.
Oh, Kekoa... you've got 7 more lessons son for the summer! Hopefully you learn to like the pool real quick! :)
