The Antenorcruz Ohana Throws A Baby Shower!!!

By now, with me being the middle of three girls, my sister Lynn having 2 daughters, my Mother (and Father too!!) are all too well acquainted with girls, AND having girls. :)

Me, on the other hand- not being the girly girl- you would think that having a girl would be something of a breeze. Not me... I'm terrified (more than I was as a first time parent!!) as I have NO IDEA what to do with girls! I'm afraid I may butch my daughter out faster than you can say "pink toile!"

Thank goodness for my mom, my sisters, and my Auntie Claring who threw me a small, but intimate family baby shower, to help my daughter not only come into the world with her own stuff and not her brother's hand me downs, but in fabulous style... with PLENTY of PINK!!!!

Prior to leaving for the shower. Daddy got to spend some bonding time with Kekoa- and Dini too!

Lunch was at the Castaways restaurant in Burbank, overlooking the city. As always, my sisters go all out with decor.

I thought that this was cool... my sisters as favors, gave away Hibiscus flower candles in honor of the little hula miss that we were to have... Love it!

I thought that this was really cool. As guests came in, they signed these baby pieces with best wishes (or advice!) which Janet strung up near our area.

And cousin Anne won the "no saying 'baby'" game- which my sisters creatively used baby hairclips for instead, which could be used for the baby later on.

Presents time!!
Awesome (as always!!!!) Diaper Cake that Kira made for me... which made me extra bummed- since she's also pregnant (and just 2 weeks behind me!) she couldn't make the trip from Sacramento. I miss you Kira, but your gift, as always was amazing!

Mom, always being such a big help :) Oh, quick sidenote... my mom put that bow on the side of my head. She said it was always my favorite thing to do whenever we would open presents as little kids. Oh mom...

...And more presents!!

Kekoa goes to Chuck E. Cheese

I'm really not a fan of Chuck E Cheese... usually they end up being a ghetto type atmosphere full of kids running around with parents nowhere to be found. And you end up paying an arm and a leg for food that cardboard tastes better than. But as many of you will know, as a parent, you will do all of that and suck it up- all just to see that smile light up on your son or daughter's face.

And this day was no exception. Again, I know I'm really bad about keeping up this blog (thanks for reminding me Christal!!) and technically these were taken on March 2nd- Vivi's actual 4th birthday. However, I have just uploaded the pics and am putting them up... now!

This face is the reason why we take our kids to places like this!

With Lola, Auntie Claring and Auntie Aning who joined us for the afternoon (and luckily saved my pregnant butt a few times from having to run all over the place chasing after the two rascals!)

Vivi, who was initially scared to sit in the car and take a ride, looks on and feels empowered to ride after her little cousin had fun on it!
Photobucket

"So, hey, Chuck... whaddya say that we go score some chicks after we go cruisin?"
Photobucket

"Wait, my ride's done?? Thats it?!"
Photobucket

I don't know what this ride is called, but Koa had a blast being lifted up and around this sundial face!

Kekoa Brushing His Teeth

11 Teeth!!! Yes, thats right everybody, 11 teeth in total! I think that it was about time we start teaching this kid some good oral hygiene- I mean, good habits need to start somewhere!

And luckily, Koa loves it- thank goodness! I guess the bristles tickle his gums or something because he has a ball getting his teeth brushed first by someone, and then trying it himself.

Here he is with Auntie Janet tonight doing his nightly ritual of brushing his teeth after dinner, before his bath.

Enjoy!
