Malia All Grown Up

Aloha Kakou to all of our 'ohana and friends! It has been over a year since we have published ANYTHING on either of our blogs... we know. Its been a hectic, but quite blessed 12 months. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, more than we could ever have asked for, much more deserved.

Kekoa, is now 3 years old- he will be turning 4 next month! Where does the time go?! His Apraxia of speech is making strides... he's come such a long way since just right before his third birthday last year- in fact, I will be posting on his blog a few videos with him actually speaking. The Lord has worked miraculous things in our son and we are so proud of the tremendous progress that he has made... Stay tuned!

Malia is 2 1/2 years old, going on 22. She is such a riot. She's a sweetie with a heart of gold. And she loves to entertain. We went through a rough period where we feared that she too may have had a speech and/ or language disorder as no words were coming from her by her 2nd birthday in May. We enrolled her in summer school at a local preschool and she made tremendous growth. This past December, her speech and language pathologist noticed that Malia's speech had made leaps and bounds in such a short amount of time that she was re-evaluated by the director and were able to eliminate Apraxia of speech as a cause for her delay. In fact, by their facts and figures, and milestones, Malia is now "caught up" per se to her peers and is no longer considered delayed or at risk!

Just as a little sneak peek to see what we've been up to, here's a little video I took today of Malia as we waited for Kekoa to get out of school. She truly is my miracle baby girl :)
